Job summary

Piedmont Cartersville is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures across patient age groups, position patients, and select correct protocols using all required equipment. You will maintain competencies in non-scanner components and follow established imaging protocols.

Responsibilities include quality control per ACR guidelines, providing age-appropriate patient education, and ensuring safe, accurate imaging.

Qualifications

• AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program is required.
• No experience required; 6 months MRI technologist experience preferred.
• ARDMS or ARRT radiography registration required upon hire.
• BCLS certification required upon hire.

• Demonstrates competence in performing all MRI procedures on patients of all ages.
• Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and uses all required equipment.
• Maintains competencies in non-scanner related components and follows imaging protocols.
• Performs quality control procedures per ACR guidelines.

What you will do

• Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all MRI procedures on patients of all age groups. Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and utilizes all required equipment.


• Maintains competencies in all non-scanner related components.


• Accurately follows all established imaging protocols for exam being performed.


• Performs quality control procedures in accordance with the ACR guidelines.


• Provides quality age specific care in accordance with prescribed standards and practices.


• Provides patient education and communications in accordance with prescribed standards.


• Must be competent and proficient to position, select correct protocol and utilize imaging equipment on patients of all age groups for radiological exams, when requested.
