Job summary

Sentara's Advanced Imaging Center in Chesapeake, VA is seeking an MRI Technologist to provide quality MRI imaging under supervision and adhere to protocols.

Responsibilities include administering MRI contrast, reviewing safety forms, evaluating implants, and coordinating with physicians. ARRT MR certification and ALD Radiologic Sciences or trade school credential required; 1 year x-ray experience preferred for cross-training. This is a full-time, weekend-days position.

• Provide MRI imaging under supervision.

• Maintain patient records and reports.
• Perform MRI exams and assess image quality.
• Complete departmental documentation.

Job Description

Provide quality MRI Imaging to patients under the direction of a supervising physician with adherence to the required protocol standards.

Duties may include but are not limited to: Administration of MRI contrast per protocol, Evaluates and approves patient MRI safety screening form prior to patient entering scanner, Knowledge of MRI safety zones and other safety regulations.

Reviewing patient records for accuracy and evaluating all implants and devices through vendor resources.

Acting as a liaison with physician and supportive care personnel.

Maintaining patients records, reports, and files.

Performs patient MRI exams per protocol, reviews imaging for accuracy and quality prior to sending for interpretation.

Examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation.

Compensation

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.24 - $61.82 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
