Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MR examinations under the supervision of the Radiologist. You will operate MRI equipment, ensure optimal image quality, and protect patient safety.

Role includes patient care across neonatal to geriatric populations, strict adherence to standards, and collaboration with physicians to support accurate diagnoses. BLS certification is required; AMA/JRCERT education is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• 6 months MRI experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) examinations under the direct guidance of the Radiologist.
• Provide patient care to all age groups: neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric.
• Ensure image quality and adherence to prescribed standards during MRI procedures.

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
None
6 months as an MRI Technologists preferred.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R).

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
BLS certified.
