Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI examinations under the Radiologist's supervision. You will provide patient care across neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations in a fast-paced radiology unit.

The ideal candidate will have AMA or JRCERT accreditation, ARRT radiography certification, and BLS. This on-site position supports the MRI team within Piedmont Columbus Midtown's radiology department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• None
• 6 months as MRI Technologists preferred.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R).
• BLS certified.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations under the supervision of the Radiologist.
• Provide patient care to all age groups including neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
• Ensure imaging studies meet prescribed standards and quality control.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
None
6 months as an MRI Technologists preferred.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R).

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
BLS certified.
