Job summary

Medical City Las Colinas is seeking an MRI Tech for PRN coverage. The role requires performing MRI procedures with Radiologist guidance, ensuring patient safety and comfort across all ages, and contributing to the imaging department's performance initiatives.

You will maintain a safe imaging environment, complete procedures accurately for OP, inpatient, OR, and ED, and participate in ongoing quality improvements. 2 years of experience and ARRT MRI registration are expected.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist.
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT).
• Associate Degree required.
• 2 years experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs superior/quality MRI procedures under the guidance of a Radiologist for patients of all ages.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic diagnostic radiological environment with radiation safety, monitoring.
• Participates in departmental Performance Improvement activities.
• Responsible for accurate and timely completion of MRI procedures (OP, Inpatient, OR, ED).
• Ensures patients and family are informed about the procedures and patient comfort is maximized.
• Other duties as assigned by the Lead Technologist, Supervisor, Manager or Director of Imaging.
