The role you'll contribute to:

Under general supervision, the primary duties include imaging both neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following age-specific guidelines, transmitting images for diagnostic interpretation, and updating the hospital computer system with exam progress. The MRI technologist actively participates in outstanding customer service, maintains respectful relationships, and implements the principles of the facility.

The value you'll bring to the team:

• Performs all exams using established protocols, properly identifies patients, educates patients about the exam, and screens for contrast allergies.
• Completes exams in a timely manner, maintains workflow, and minimizes empty table time. Communicates and transports patients post-exam.
• Operates all imaging equipment safely, including scanners, injectors, monitors, and other medical devices. Performs scans on patients of all ages, adapting protocols as needed.
• Screens patients of childbearing age, minimizes radiation exposure, practices infection control, uses PPE and disinfectants, and maintains a clean, organized, and stocked room. Performs QA on CT scanners and may handle pharmaceutical waste following proper procedures.
• Reviews all images, repeats as necessary, and notifies physicians of emergent findings according to protocol.

The expertise and experience you'll need to succeed:

Associate's degree in Radiology or Sonography, or completion of an ARMRIT Accredited MRI Program.
