Job summary

Danbury Hospital, part of Northwell Health, seeks a Radiographer specializing in MRI to support MRI NMH in CT with responsibilities across screening, contrast administration, image acquisition, and system operations.

You will work with Cerner RIS and Fuji Pacs, using Siemens Espree MRI, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient safety in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Radiographer with ARRT MRI accreditation.
• Minimum 3 years MRI experience.
• CT state license.
• Graduate from an approved school of Radiologic Technology.

Responsibilities

• MRI Safety Screening in accordance with dept procedures.
• Administer IV contrast and manage venipuncture.
• Perform image acquisition per prescription and protocol.
• Operate Cerner RIS and Fuji Pacs workflow.
• Conduct procedures on Siemens Espree MRI system.

Responsibilities

• MRI Safety Screening: Completes appropriate screening of customers by following departmental procedures and obtaining pertinent documentation. 20%
• IV contrast administration: Performs venipuncture for contrast administration and then operates power injectors following departmental guidelines for appropriate injection. 10%
• Image Acquisition: Reviews prescription and protocol for appropriateness. Chooses required coils and accessories when positioning patients. 20%
• Cerner: Uses Cerner RIS to Fuji Pacs to start, complete and finish studies. Checking that all appropriate images are available to the radiologist for viewing. 20%
• Siemens Scanner: Performs all procedures on a Siemens Espree 1.5 open bore magnet. 20%
• Performs other duties as assigned. 10%

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists

• Radiographer
• Graduate from an approved school of Radiologic Technology
• Minimum of 3 years MRI experience
• Accredited in MRI with the ARRT
• CT state license
