MRI Tech Nights Stafflex Contract, Altamonte

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Performs CT and MRI imaging procedures. Assists Radiologist in special procedures such as biopsies. Maintains records of examinations performed. Obtains and documents patient clinical history. Performs darkroom, clerical, and transport functions. Participates in standby call. Performs basic patient care within scope of practice and departmental standards. Assists in Radiology Department as needed. Adheres to the Florida Hospital Corporate compliance plan, and complies with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Performs CT and MRI imaging procedures.
2. Maintains records of examinations performed.
3. Obtains and documents patient clinical history and explains procedures.
4. Positions patients and equipment, and selects technical factors to produce images that meet radiologist standards.
5. Sends images to QC station, then to PACS, and archives images.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Must be a graduate of an approved A.R.R.T. program with current A.R.R.T. registration and a valid state license in Radiography.
