WH Wheeling Hospital Inc. in Canonsburg, PA is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures and assist physicians in diagnosis. You will prepare and explain exams to patients, perform exams across specialty areas, and ensure safety and proper use of the magnetic field.
You will process exams for PACS and participate in ongoing professional development, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient-centered care in a fast-paced radiology department.
The MRI Technologist performs MRI procedures which are complex and elaborate to assist the physician in the diagnosis of injury and/or disease.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
MD: No state license is required
OH: No state license is required
PA: No state license is required
WV :Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) License OR Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Apprentice License through the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board.
Registered through American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy, or MRI.If certification in MRI through ARRT is not held upon hire, required within 12 months of hire.
MRI certification through American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) due upon hire.
Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.
State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable), as required for regulated areas.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
MRI certification through Registered through American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or ARMRIT upon hire.
Radiography certification through American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
