Job summary

Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Palm Beach, FL, is seeking a per diem MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment and perform imaging procedures per protocol. This role includes administering contrast media intravenously and preparing RF coils, supplies and equipment for patient needs.

The position requires certification as an ARRT radiologic technologist, graduation from an accredited program, & CPR (BCLS) with Florida license.

Qualifications

Operates MRI equipment to perform a variety of imaging MRI procedures as indicated by protocol. Intravenous injections of contrast media as indicated. Prepares RF coils, supplies and equipment for patient needs. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Proficient operation of all imaging sequences, safety and emergency quench procedures.
• Organizes work area and maintains supplies.
• Maintains equipment and utilizes protective devices to insure patient and employee safety.
• Assures correct patient information on requests, reports and PACS.

Qualifications

Education:
Graduate of an accredited program for Radiologic Technologists

Experience:
Graduate of an accredited program for Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

License/Certifications:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Licensed Radiologic Technologists, State of Florida (HRS) Current CPR (BCLS) certification Certification by the Imaging Services Medical Director to inject contrast media
