Job summary

Abrazo Central Campus in Phoenix is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures, ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging throughout examinations. You will collaborate with radiologists and staff to coordinate day-to-day MRI activities and safety compliance.

The role requires experience in MRI operations, strong communication, and CPR certification, with ARRT/MRTBE/ARDMS or equivalent credentials. Join a dedicated radiology team in a teaching hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
• Prior radiology or MRI hospital experience.
• Current Certification for ARRT, MRTBE, ARDMS, JRCNMT, NMTCB or ARMRIT. CPR.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and promotes open communication with staff, physicians and customers; provides MRI education and safety to patients and significant others.
• Ensures proper and fair charging of patient procedures in compliance with guidelines.
• Follows proper protocol for use, care, maintenance and cleanliness of MRI and auxiliary equipment.
• Documents history and ensures patient has met all safety requirements before entering MRI suite.
• Performs diagnostic procedures and presents completed examinations to Radiologist.

Job Summary

Works with the Radiologists and other personnel to perform technical procedures in Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Coordinates with other departments the day-to-day activity for MRI safety and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Communication Skills: Maintains and promotes open communication with Staff, Physicians and Customers. Uses effective communication techniques and skills to provide procedure explanation and or MRI education/safety to patients and significant others.
• Patient Billing: Ensures proper and fair charging of patient procedures in compliance with Model Compliance and Ethical guidelines.
• Follows proper protocol for the use, care, maintenance and cleanliness of the MRI and auxiliary equipment.
• Documents/Takes history and assure patient has met all safety requirements before entering MRI suite.
• Performs diagnostic procedures, present completed examination to the Radiologist and communicate any pertinent data to the patient or the persons responsible for the continued care of the patient.
• Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• Special Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills necessary to understand oral and written instructions stated in medical terms and to exchange information with patients and staff.
• Minimum Requirements
  • Education: Completion of accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
  • Experience: Prior general radiology experience or prior MRI hospital experience.
  • Licensure/Certifications: Current Certification for ARRT, MRTBE, ARDMS, JRCNMT, NMTCB or ARMRIT. CPR.
• Preferred Requirements
  • Experience: Three years MRI hospital experience
