Job summary

Job Summary

The MRI Tech performs complex diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures, as requested by a licensed physician. The MRI Tech produces high‑quality diagnostic images while providing excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited school of MRI
• Preferred Education: Associate degree in Allied Health or Bachelor’s Degree and certification in another clinical imaging field
• Minimum Experience: 6 months in Magnetic Resonance Imaging with supervised clinical experience. Possesses working knowledge of cross‑section anatomy and MR pathology.
• Preferred Experience: 2–5 years in MRI
• Required Certifications/License: Possession of American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiology or ARMRIT registry eligible according to ACR guidelines. Must be registered as an MR Technologist within one year post‑graduation of accredited school. If registered with ARRT in ionizing radiation, must possess current Texas Medical Board (TMB) license.
• Preferred Certifications/License: ARRT in MRI
• Required Courses/Completions: Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support at hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
