Job summary

Ascension in Milwaukee seeks a skilled Radiologic Technologist specialized in magnetic resonance imaging to obtain diagnostic cross-sectional images. You will prepare and position patients, select imaging parameters, and ensure safety practices are followed throughout procedures.

The role requires credentialing in MR and ARRT alignment, plus ongoing commitment to image quality, patient data accuracy, and timely PACS submissions.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to prepare and position patients for cross-sectional imaging.
• Knowledge of patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to examinations.
• Familiarity with entering and monitoring patient data and handling image transfer to PACS.
• Understanding of radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ability to ensure high-quality image submission with correct lead markers and patient data/history.

Responsibilities

• Operates a scanner to obtain images used to diagnose and treat pathologies.
• Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.
• Performs patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
• Enters and monitors patient data, transfers images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develops film in an automatic processor.
• Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ensures prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
• Ensures equipment is functioning properly and reports any malfunctions.

Education

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience

Associate's degree/Technical degree
