Job summary

Harris Health System, Inc. seeks an experienced MRSO to develop and lead our MRI safety program.

This role requires extensive patient screening, incident investigation, and staff education, while coordinating with physician, administrative, and executive leadership on MRI operations and regulatory matters. The MRSO will perform MRI technologist duties with advanced clinical judgment and provide direct operational and people leadership for imaging services, ensuring safe, efficient patient care

Qualifications

• Requires an associate's degree in physical or biological or radiological sciences or related field.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• High School Diploma with MRI program.
• Certificate in Magnetic Resonance Safety.
• MRSO certification required or to be obtained within one year.
• BLS from American Heart Association.
• ARMRIT or ARRT Radiology certification.
• Five years experience as an MRI technologist.
• Strong verbal and written communication and safety reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and review the organization-wide MRI safety program.
• Extensive patient screening, incident investigation, education and training.
• Maintain communication with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Serve as the departmental representative and primary contact for MRI regulatory matters.
• Provide leadership for MRI imaging services and ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
