Job summary

Good Samaritan University Hospital, part of Catholic Health on Long Island, is seeking an MRI RN to deliver seamless, patient-centered care during MRI procedures and sedation. You will plan, administer and evaluate nursing care while ensuring safety and comfort for diverse patient populations.

Requirements include 1+ year RN experience in acute care (MRI preferred), a NY RN license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS. A BSN is preferred; associates may be considered if enrolled in BSN.

Qualifications

• 1+ years RN experience in an acute care setting.
• 1+ years RN experience in radiology/MRI preferred.
• BSN degree or enrolled in accredited BSN program.
• New York State RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures seamless, efficient, and patient-centered care during MRI procedures and monitoring of patients during and after sedation.
• Administers, plans, initiates and evaluates nursing care to patients with knowledge and skill.
• Responds to diverse patient needs across age, language, culture, religion, and literacy.
• Maintains professional competency and pursues self-growth.
• Participates in department performance improvement activities.
