Jefferson Health is seeking an MRI Research Specialist to lead radiology research operations and ensure high-quality imaging. You will collaborate with MR physicists, investigators, clinicians, technologists, study coordinators, and patients from start-up through closeout.

The role requires MRI research expertise, protocol review, regulatory support, and experience coordinating complex imaging studies while maintaining data integrity and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Radiology Technology or related field.
• 5 years of MRI research experience in hospital/academic setting.
• ARMRIT or MR certification (American Registry of MRI Technologists or MR).
• BLS - Basic Life Support; AHA certifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates radiology research imaging operations from study start-up through closeout, including protocol setup support and scanner/visit coordination.
• Leads review of radiology protocols for research projects, assesses feasibility, and communicates recommendations to investigators.
• Collaborates with MRI leadership, radiologists, technologists, and research teams to determine viability of study requests and develop coordinated processes.
• Maintains accurate study, subject, imaging, quality-control, and expense documentation; tracks activity and resources.
• Performs MRI research patient scanning and setup about 10% of the time, ensuring safety and protocol compliance.
