Job summary

UC San Diego Health in La Jolla seeks an MRI Research Assistant in Radiology to support the UTE Imaging Group. You will handle data recording, image region of interest collection, and filing of FDA, IRB, and NIH correspondence.

You will recruit research subjects, obtain informed consent, maintain enrollment logs, assure data quality, and participate in research meetings. A Bachelor’s degree and related research experience are preferred; strong organization and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Theoretical knowledge of anatomy and physiology typically acquired by a Bachelor's Degree in biology or related field.
• Demonstrated research experience in a radiology lab and ability to perform standard repetitive techniques.
• Experience with basic lab safety requirements and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support clinical efforts in the UTE Imaging Group in Radiology.
• Record and enter data, collect image regions of interest, and organize FDA/IRB/NIH correspondence.
• Recruit research subjects, schedule appointments, and obtain informed consent per HIPAA and HRPP guidelines.
• Create and maintain regulatory documents, enrollment logs, and data quality assurance.
