Job summary

UC San Diego Health in La Jolla seeks an MRI Research Assistant in Radiology to support the UTE Imaging Group. You will assist with data collection, scheduling, and regulatory documentation for clinical studies.

Responsibilities include data entry, enrollment logs, and maintaining FDA/IRB/NIH records, while ensuring HIPAA compliance and protocol adherence in a collaborative 100% appointment role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology or related field; theoretical knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Radiology lab research experience with ability to perform standard repetitive techniques.
• Experience with basic lab safety requirements and procedures.
• Experience maintaining inventories and ordering supplies.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply protocols in conducting research; follow stepwise experimental protocols.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of patient/study data.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to prepare documents clearly.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel; willingness to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support the clinical efforts in the UTE Imaging Group of Radiology.
• Data recording and entry; collect regions of interest.
• File and organize FDA, IRB, and NIH correspondence and study records.
• Recruit research subjects, schedule appointments, obtain informed consent and HIPAA disclosures.
• Create and maintain regulatory documents per HRPP guidelines and department of research and compliance.
• Create enrollment logs and charts; perform data quality assurance on subject files.
• Participate in research meetings.
