Job summary

Avera St Mary’s Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technologist to operate MRI equipment and produce clinically diagnostic images as directed by physicians. The role includes preparing patients, adjusting equipment, and coordinating MRI schedules to ensure efficient workflow.

The candidate will need ARRT certifications in Radiography and MR upon hire, with related experience; a strong emphasis on accuracy, patient safety, and teamwork within a multidisciplinary radiology team.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate's or equivalent from a 2 year program or hospital Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiography upon hire; MR ARRT certification upon hire.
• Less than 1 year knowledge of radiologic and MRI terminology, anatomy, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and adjust MRI equipment; position patients and administer IV contrast if needed.
• Perform MRI procedures accurately and efficiently per standards and protocols.
• Coordinate daily MRI schedules for efficiency; review exam completion.
• Assist with training and orientation of staff/students in MRI.
• Maintain and file records and reports for MRI and department needs.
