Job summary

Norwalk Hospital Association is seeking an MRI Technologist to assist in patient care, safety and preparation for MRI examinations. Responsibilities include patient screening, appointment coordination and front desk duties such as greeting and check-in.

Qualifications include a high school diploma (or equivalent) and preferably 1 year of hospital experience, with a current BLS certification or the ability to obtain within 90 days. Exempt: No; Department: MRI.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Identify patients by matching name and MRN on wrist band to requisition.
• Escort outpatients to changing areas and advise on exam prep.
• Confirm appointments, review screening questions, and explain prep instructions.
• Maintain patient flow and ensure complete paperwork before passing to technologist.
• Assist in emergency readiness and locate required equipment quickly.
