Job summary

Responsibilities include assisting with patient care, preparing rooms, documenting information in EHR/RIS/PACS, and adhering to safety, HIPAA, and infection control guidelines. Prior healthcare experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in customer service, caregiving, or a direct interaction role.
• Ability to learn and navigate EHR systems and imaging software with training.
• Preferred: CNA/MA/EMT certification or enrollment in a healthcare-related training program.
• Preferred: At least 6 months of healthcare or patient-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct patient care under supervision, ensuring dignity, comfort, and safety.
• Communicate with patients and families regarding procedures, delays, and expectations.
• Verify patient identity and confirm the ordered exam.
• Prepare patients for imaging exams, including positioning and transfers.
• Perform delegated clinical tasks such as venipuncture, IV start/discontinuation, and POCT.
• Assist with patient transport and flow in the department.
• Prepare exam rooms and equipment for procedures.
• Review patient information (history, labs, allergies, prior imaging).
• Document patient data in systems like PACS, RIS, and EHR.
• Ensure specimens are labeled and delivered to the lab if applicable.
• Maintain a clean, safe care environment and follow PPE guidelines.
• Follow MRI and/or radiation safety standards and HIPAA regulations.
• Report safety concerns per policy.
• Participate in required training (MRI/radiation safety, BLS, annual education).
