Job summary

McLaren in Flint, MI is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform routine and complex MRI procedures under general supervision. You will ensure high-quality images and patient comfort while maintaining safety protocols.

The role requires ARRT MRI certification, AMA-approved radiology education, and BLS; associate degree preferred. Work schedule is 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. with worksharing and no on‑call duties.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology.
  • Advanced ARRT Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
  • Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Specializes in performing routine and complex MRI procedures.
  • Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and eases patient concerns.
  • Operates and maintains all assigned MRI equipment to ensure proper function.
  • Positions patients to accurately capture physician‑requested images.
  • Identifies and administers medications within technologist scope as prescribed.
  • Completes QA processes and adheres to radiation safety to minimize exposure.
  • Maintains required documentation in paper and electronic formats.
  • Keeps adequate supplies for testing and maintenance.
  • Performs routine maintenance and checks on imaging equipment.
  • May assist other areas of radiology as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as required and directed.
