Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Flint, MI seeks an MRI Technologist to perform routine and complex MRI procedures, ensuring high quality images and patient comfort. You will operate and maintain MRI equipment, position patients, and coordinate with physicians to obtain the requested images. Requirements include graduation from an AMA-approved radiology program, ARRT MRI certification, and current BLS.

Preference for an Associate degree in radiology. Schedule is per diem with typical hours 8:30 a.m.

Qualifications

Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology.
Advanced ARRT Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
Current BLS certification.
Associate degree in radiology.

Responsibilities

Specializes in performing routine and complex MRI procedures.
Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns to foster comfort and confidence.
Operates and maintains all MRI equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Positions patients and uses equipment to capture requested images.
Administers medications within scope as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
Performs quality assurance and adheres to radiation safety practices.
Maintains documentation and records in paper/electronic formats.
Maintains consumables and performs routine maintenance checks.
May assist other radiology areas as assigned.
Performs other related duties as required.
