Job summary

Sierra View Medical Center in Porterville, CA is seeking an Imaging Aide to support the MRI department with patient transport, basic clinical tasks, and patient interaction. Under supervision, you will assist technologists, prep patients for exams, document patient information in the Meditech system, and follow AIDET and MRI safety protocols.

The role requires flexibility for shift variations, holidays, and on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification.
• CNA/EMT/MA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• 1 * Accurately documents patient’s care and activities during Radiology visits.
• 2 * Transports patients to Radiology procedures ensuring patient safety.
• 3 * Provides emotional and physical comfort to patients.
• 4 * Prepares patients for exams and collects required history.
• 5 * Ensures proper patient identification for tests and procedures.
• 6 * Assists patients with activities of daily living as needed.
• 7 * Maintains clean, organized work area and follows infection control.
• 8 * Uses PPE and MRI safety guidelines per policy.
• 9 * Documents information in Meditech and communicates with care team.
• 10 * Accepts reassignments and additional duties as needed.
• 11 * Adheres to radiation and MRI safety training and AIDET guidelines.
