Job summary

North Carolina A&T State University seeks a Neuroimaging Research Specialist to support faculty and trainees in collecting and analyzing neuroimaging data, with emphasis on fMRI. The role involves screening participants, operating MRI scanners, preprocessing data, and assisting with EEG and eye-tracking.

It also includes data management and analysis using MATLAB, Python, and neuroimaging toolkits, plus collaboration on grants and manuscripts. Strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Neuroscience, Psychology, or a related scientific field.
• Experience conducting fMRI research in an academic or clinical setting.
• Computer programming skills (e.g., MATLAB, R, Python).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of neuroanatomy and experience using neuroimage processing and analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Screening and scheduling of research participants.
• Direct interaction with participants and operation of the MRI scanner.
• Assistance with experimental set‑up and troubleshooting.
• Management and analysis of neuroimaging data, including fMRI preprocessing.
• Support for additional behavioral and neuroimaging techniques such as EEG and eye‑tracking.
• Collaboration with faculty on grant proposals and manuscript development.
