Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking an MRI technologist to produce diagnostic cross-sectional MRI images, following protocols and optimizing image quality. You will operate MR equipment, apply appropriate sequences, and ensure accurate patient data entry for each study.

Applicants should have 2+ years radiologic tech experience with MRI, a qualifying MRI certification, and CPR/BLS. Per diem schedule with variable days, focused on patient safety and high-quality imaging.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of radiologic technology experience within the last 12 months, including one year in MRI.
• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology or MRI program.
• ARRT MRI or ARMRIT certification required; Venipuncture certificate (CA) required; BLS certification mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Upholds Kaiser Permanente policies and procedures and applicable laws.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and obtain cooperation.
• Perform MRI studies according to established imaging protocols and document results.
• Maintain MRI equipment and prepare contrast media as needed.
• Provide training and orientation to new MRI technologists and assist others as required.
• Archive images to PACS and ensure proper patient identification on all images.
