Job summary

Richmond University Medical Center is seeking an MRI/CT Technician to perform CT and MR imaging studies, venipuncture for IV access, and administer contrast agents as needed. The role requires NY radiologic technologist licensure, ARRT certification, and current BLS certification.

Two years of CT or MR experience is preferred. The position is a day shift, with hours around 7.5 per day, and requires adherence to safety protocols for adverse reactions to contrast media.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred.
• New York State Radiologic Technologist License required.
• ARRT certificate required.
• New York State license with Certification to inject contrast media under Section 89.40 of Part 89 of Title 10 NYCRR required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Two years experience in performing CT or MR scanning procedures.
• Prior venipuncture experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scan studies and MRI studies and/or diagnostic radiology procedures.
• Venipuncture for IV line establishment for contrast administration.
• Monitor signs of adverse reactions to contrast materials and follow required procedures.
