Job summary

Salem Clinic in Salem, OR seeks an MRI & CT Technologist to operate MRI and CT equipment, capture diagnostic images, and support patient care with safety and professionalism.

You will collaborate with radiologists, maintain equipment, and document procedures while ensuring compliance with imaging protocols and confidentiality. This role emphasizes patient comfort, accuracy, and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with certification in MRI and CT imaging.
• Current certification and registration as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or equivalent credential.
• Valid Oregon state licensure to perform MRI and CT imaging in the United States.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and imaging principles relevant to MRI and CT technologies.
• Strong understanding of radiation safety and patient care standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for MRI and CT scans, explaining procedures to alleviate anxiety and ensure cooperation.
• Operate MRI and CT imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images according to prescribed protocols and orders.
• Monitor patients during imaging procedures to ensure safety and respond to adverse reactions or emergencies.
• Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with radiologists to review image quality and adjust imaging techniques as needed.
• Document patient information, imaging procedures, and observations in electronic health records.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and infection control protocols to protect patients and staff.
• Participate in continuing education to stay current with advancements in imaging.
