Job summary

UW Health in Madison, WI seeks a Radiologic Tech – MRI Apprentice. Program starts November 9, 2026, 100% FTE, with classes at 610 N Whitney Way and clinical experiences at University Hospital and UW Health clinics across Madison.

You will complete the program, obtain ARMRIT certification in 14 months, and progress from supervised imaging to independent procedures as you advance through competency-based instruction.

Qualifications

• College coursework, including college level science in addition to the experience below.
• Six months of direct patient care experience required.
• ARMRIT Certification within 14 months is required.
• Basic Life Support/CPR within 3 months is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical imaging examinations under general supervision with MRI equipment.
• Participate in competency-based classroom and clinical instruction and progress to independent procedures.
