Job summary

Lakeshore Recycling Systems is seeking a MRf Operator to safely operate heavy equipment at our facility in West Chicago, IL. The role reports to the Site Supervisor and includes daily pre/post-trip inspections, monitoring equipment performance, and ensuring compliance with safety policies.

Responsibilities include reporting needed repairs, maintaining clean equipment and cab, and maximizing load weights per DOT regulations. Reading and speaking English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor the performance of the equipment and report any repairs needed to the maintenance department.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Keep machine and cab clean.
• Monitor materials coming in and report all unacceptable waste to management.
• Maximize truck load weights per DOT regulations.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

Physical Demands / Environmental Factors

• Equipment operator position requires the operation of equipment with open and closed cabs.
• Required to work indoors and outdoors and will be exposed to weather extremes and dusty conditions.
• Required to work within close proximity to customers and will be exposed to busy traffic patterns.

Pay Range

$24
