Job summary

lrsrecycles is seeking a responsible MRF Operator to operate heavy equipment at our facility in Illinois. The role focuses on safe operation, daily inspections, and monitoring equipment performance to report needed repairs to the maintenance team.

The operator will follow all safety policies, keep the cab and machinery clean, and ensure loads comply with DOT weight regulations while coordinating with site supervision.

• Must be able to read and speak English well enough to communicate.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre and post trip inspection of the equipment per company standards to ensure fluid levels are at proper levels and safety devises are functioning properly.
• Continuously monitor the performance of the equipment and report any repairs needed to the maintenance department
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Keep machine and cab clean
• Monitor materials coming in and report all unacceptable waste to management
• Maximize truck load weights per DOT regulations
• Perform other job duties as assigned

Physical Demands / Environmental Factors

• Equipment operator position requires the operation of equipment with open and closed cabs.
• Required to work indoors and outdoors and will be exposed to weather extremes and dusty conditions.
• Required to work within close proximity to customers and will be exposed to busy traffic patterns.
