Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Operator to safely and efficiently operate equipment at the Material Recovery Facility, including forklifts, skid steers, balers, and payloaders.

The role emphasizes safety, pre/post inspections, and assisting with maintenance to keep the MRF running smoothly. The position requires strong teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a focus on reducing downtime and ensuring hazardous materials are properly managed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Willingness to work in varied weather conditions.
• Legally eligible to work in the US.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team with safety focus.
• Good listening, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance of the Material Recovery Facility (MRF).
• Perform pre/post operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety compliance.
• Monitor materials for evidence of unacceptable or hazardous waste.
• Inspect equipment to minimize downtime and assist with wheel cleaning.
• Operate equipment following safety and training protocols to keep the facility maintained.
