Job summary

LRS is seeking a MRF Operator in Berwyn, IL to operate and monitor waste processing equipment on-site, ensuring safety and efficiency. You will perform routine inspections, adhere to environmental and safety standards, and support DOT-compliant loading practices in a fast-paced facility.

The role requires English proficiency and the ability to communicate effectively with the site supervisor and maintenance team.

• Must read and speak English well enough to understand directions and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment per standards to ensure fluids and safety devices are functioning.
• Continuously monitor equipment performance and report repairs to maintenance.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Keep machine and cab clean.
• Monitor incoming materials and report all unacceptable waste to management.
• Maximize truck load weights per DOT regulations.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

Reports To

Site Supervisor

• Perform daily pre and post trip inspection of the equipment per company standards to ensure fluid levels are at proper levels and safety devises are functioning properly
• Continuously monitor the performance of the equipment and report any repairs needed to the maintenance department
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Keep machine and cab clean
• Monitor materials coming in and report all unacceptable waste to management
• Maximize truck load weights per DOT regulations
• Perform other job duties as assigned

• Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training.

Physical Demands / Environmental Factors

• Equipment operator position requires the operation of equipment with open and closed cabs.
• Required to work indoors and outdoors and will be exposed to weather extremes and dusty conditions.
• Required to work within close proximity to customers and will be exposed to busy traffic patterns.
