Job summary

Athens Services is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to maintain cleanliness of our Material Recovery Facility (MRF) and plant equipment in Los Angeles. You will meticulously clean conveyors, beds, pulleys, shaker decks, exhaust fans, and related areas to ensure smooth operation of MRF equipment.

The role requires standing for long periods, physical work including lifting up to 50 lbs in some tasks, and a willingness to work the 3rd shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months experience in heavy labor.
• Ability to stand, bend, push, pull, and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Must be safety-conscious and able to work 3rd shift.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean MRF equipment (conveyor, beds, head & tail pulley) from debris to ensure proper function.
• Clean MRF equipment (shaker upper & lower decks) from debris to ensure proper function.
• Clean MRF equipment (exhaust fan; replace air & carbon filters as needed) to maintain proper operation.
• Clean MRF equipment (conveyor tunnels) from debris to ensure proper function.
• Clean sweeps underneath conveyors as needed.
• Clean buildings from dust, debris, etc.
