Job summary

Labcorp Oncology seeks an MD/DO leader to drive clinical development strategy for its MRD and ctDNA portfolio in solid tumors, guiding study design, endpoints, and interpretation, and integrating MRD testing into clinical care pathways.

You will supervise cross-functional teams, build relationships with investigators, payers, and societies, and ensure regulatory compliance, publication planning, and lifecycle management from concept to commercialization.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required; Board certification in Medical Oncology.
• 5+ years post-fellowship clinical experience with solid tumors.
• 3+ years in oncology clinical development, clinical research, or evidence-generation in pharma/biotech/CRO/academic settings.
• 8+ years designing/leading/providing support for prospective/retrospective clinical studies.
• 5+ years cross-functional collaboration with operations, biostatistics, regulatory/medical affairs, R&D, commercial, or market access.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical development strategy for MRD/ctDNA in solid tumors.
• Develop and execute evidence-generation programs for MRD and ctDNA.
• Lead clinical study design, protocol development, endpoints, oversight, and result interpretation.
• Direct clinical strategies for MRD detection, recurrence monitoring, treatment response, risk stratification, and trial enrichment.
• Integrate MRD testing into clinical care pathways and oncology practice.
• Build relationships with investigators, cooperative groups, academic centers, professional societies, payers, and stakeholders.
• Provide medical leadership across the MRD product lifecycle from concept to commercialization and lifecycle management.
• Advise on product development, assay development, biomarker strategy, clinical claims, validation requirements, and roadmaps.
• Support payer coverage, guidelines, and health-system adoption strategies.
• Represent Labcorp Oncology at congresses, advisory boards, investigator meetings, and industry forums.
• Provide post-launch medical support, education, scientific communications, and publication planning.
• Lead, mentor, and develop medical directors and disease-specific leaders.
• Establish portfolio priorities, allocate resources, and align objectives with strategy.
• Collaborate with medical affairs, operations, biostatistics, regulatory, market access, legal, compliance, commercial, and R&D teams.
• Support regulatory submissions and monitor developments.
