Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a Quality Engineer to provide QA/QC support to customers, suppliers, and internal production, ensuring products meet customer, supplier, and regulatory requirements.

The role acts as a liaison with internal staff, suppliers, and customers on quality matters and reports to the Quality Manager. Core responsibilities include root cause analysis, corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement across suppliers and in-house processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience; forging/manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and quality systems; aerospace preferred.
• Strong organization, problem solving, and planning skills.
• Proven ability to work in a team with a positive attitude.
• Lean manufacturing basics and basic GD&T understanding.
• Experience with drawing/blueprint reading and inspection tools.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Oracle would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Comply with PCC Code of Conduct and quality/safety rules.
• Identify safety problems and report them.
• Operate forklift safely and inspect parts.
• Conduct nonconforming material review and disposition.
• Perform root cause analysis and corrective action.
• Lead 8D responses when requested by customers.
• Review CARs for viability and effectiveness.
• Validate RMAs for products with dimensional issues.
• Develop corrective/preventive actions for processes.
