The position emphasizes adherence to safety policies and continuous process improvement across receiving, shipping, and stockroom activities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor department performance and pursue process improvements.
• Improve processing time for all received material and report recovery methods.
• Ensure tools and equipment are in working order and up to date.
• Provide feedback to Inventory Control and Quality departments and assist with problems.
• Interface with supervisors, support functions, engineering, program management and other plant operations.
• Maintain accurate records for shipping, receiving and stockroom.
• Verify aging of material in receiving and shipping locations and accuracy.
• Ensure production line receives the correct parts for manufacturing.
• Stock materials promptly and accurately.
• Eliminate errors affecting quality, budget and efficiency.
• Identify performance issues and strengths for Inventory Control supervisors.
• Follow safety, health rules and security procedures.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
