Kaleidoscope Innovation, Inc. in Redmond, WA is seeking an experienced MRB Engineer to support composite manufacturing and production processes. You will disposition nonconformances, write MRB dispositions, and drive RCCA investigations to improve quality and manufacturability.

The role requires hands-on shop floor collaboration with quality, ME, design, and production leadership, plus a focus on defect reduction and process improvements across aerospace components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related.
• 5–10 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, MRB, or quality engineering.
• Hands-on experience with composites, honeycomb, bonding, machined parts, or advanced composites.
• Strong shop floor experience with operators, inspectors, and production leadership.
• Experience reviewing and dispositioning production non-conformances.
• Experience RCCA, failure investigations, and production problem resolution.
• Familiarity with aerospace quality systems and AS9100 requirements.
• Experience supporting continuous improvement for defect reduction and process capability.
• MRB delegation or prior OEM MRB processes desirable.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and disposition non-conformances through MRB process.
• Prepare, document, and release MRB tags and engineering dispositions in line with requirements.
• Provide engineering support to production for composite, honeycomb, bonded, machined, and assembled aerospace products.
• Perform technical evaluations of discrepant hardware and determine repair, rework, use‑as‑is, or scrap dispositions.
• Investigate recurring quality issues to identify root causes and systemic gaps.
• Lead RCCA activities using structured problem‑solving methods (5-Why, Fishbone, Pareto).
• Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, Production, and Supplier Quality teams.
• Analyze production data and quality trends to generate insights for defect reduction.
• Support containment activities, concession reviews, and customer quality investigations.
• Participate in shop floor troubleshooting to minimize production disruptions.
• Review drawings, specs, and plans to support MRB decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement in producibility and manufacturing efficiency.
• Participate in cross‑functional review boards and communicate recommendations to stakeholders.
