Job summary

Kaleidoscope, Redmond, WA, seeks an experienced MRB Engineer to support composite manufacturing and production in aerospace. You will disposition non-conformances, develop MRB decisions, conduct RCCA investigations, and drive continuous improvement across processes.

The role requires collaboration with production, quality, manufacturing engineering, and operations to improve producibility and manufacturing performance, with strong shop-floor engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Materials Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of aerospace manufacturing, MRB, or manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience with composites, honeycomb, bonded assemblies, machined parts, or advanced composites.
• Strong shop-floor collaboration with operators, quality, and manufacturing leadership.
• Experience reviewing and dispositioning non-conformances in aerospace manufacturing.
• Experience RCCA, failure investigations, and corrective actions.
• Knowledge of aerospace quality systems, AS9100, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and disposition non-conformances through MRB process.
• Prepare, document, and release MRB tags and dispositions per requirements.
• Provide engineering support for composite, honeycomb, bonded, machined, and assembled products.
• Evaluate discrepant hardware and determine repair, rework, use-as-is, or scrap dispositions.
• Investigate recurring quality issues to identify root causes and gaps.
• Lead RCCA activities using 5-Why, Fishbone, Pareto techniques.
• Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Design, Production, and Supplier Quality teams on corrective actions.
• Analyze production data and quality trends to suggest improvements.
• Support containment, concession reviews, and customer-driven investigations.
• Participate in shop-floor troubleshooting to minimize disruptions.
• Review drawings, specs, and manufacturing plans to support MRB decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement for producibility and efficiency.
• Participate in cross-functional review boards and communicate recommendations.
