Job summary

Kaleidoscope Innovation is seeking an experienced MRB Design professional in Wichita, KS to lead end-to-end concession projects, coordinate across functions, and drive corrective actions for nonconformities.

The role requires 5–10 years of MRB experience, Airbus concession familiarity, and a strong aerospace/ mechanical engineering background. On-site responsibilities include cross-functional liaison, design reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech/MTech/MS or equivalent in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering.
• 5-10 years of hands-on experience in Material Review Board Design.
• Experience with Airbus concession processes is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage E2E workflow, concession preparation, writing, validation and coordination with stakeholders.
• On-Call/On-Duty support and Shopfloor support.
• Technical studies, 3D part design, Flight Test Support, and Special Instruction management.
• Review concession data for completeness and accuracy.
• Analyze deviations from engineering drawings, specifications, standards, or process requirements.
• Coordinate with Quality for clarifications on Non-conformances.
• Liaise with multiple functions to ensure repair solutions considering cost, time, performance and installation.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain on availability of rare repair fasteners before disposition.
• Provide disposition decisions (use-as-is, repair, rework, scrap, return to supplier).
• Identify repeating issues and elevate for corrective action.
• Propose design improvements to Engineering on repetitive defects and manufacturing teams to strengthen process controls.
• If required, design special parts to resolve nonconformity.
• Review concession and recommend design change if nonconformity is design-related.
• Manage engineering data, documentation, and deliverables per quality/configuration requirements.
• Support digital continuity initiatives and continuous improvement in design/communication processes.
• Serve as technical representative for onsite-offshore coordination, RTT clarifications, and escalations.

Job Description

• Technical studies, 3D part Design, Flight Test Support, and Special Instruction (SI) management.
• Review concession data for completeness and accuracy.
• Analyze deviations from engineering drawings, specifications, standards, or process requirements.
• Co-ordinate with Quality team for any clarifications required related to Non conformances.
• Liaise with multiple functions to ensure most appropriate repair solution is met with consideration to cost, time, performance, and installation requirements.
• Coordination with Supply chain on the availability of rare repair fasteners before finalizing the disposition
• Provide disposition decisions (use-as-is, repair, rework, scrap, return to supplier).
• Identify repeating issues and elevate for corrective action
• Propose design improvement to Engineering on repetitive defects and manufacturing teams to strengthen process controls
• If required, Design Special parts to resolve nonconformity.
• Review concession and recommend for design change request if nonconformity is caused by design issue.
• Manage engineering data, documentation, and deliverables in compliance with quality and configuration requirements.
• Support digital continuity initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement in design and communication processes.
• Serve as a technical representative for onsite-offshore coordination, addressing queries, Return to Task(RTT) clarifications, and technical escalations.

Required Qualifications (non-negotiable Requirements)

• BE / BTECH/MTECH/MS or equivalent degree (Aerospace/ Mechanical Engineering).
• 5-10 years of hands on experience in Material Review Board Design
• Previous AIRBUS concession experience
