Job summary

TTC, Inc. is seeking a MRAP Transportation & Movement Support Specialist to execute logistics, maintenance planning, and policy development for MRAP platforms at Langley AFB. The role supports ACC/A4RM with CONOPS, program management, and sustainment activities.

The ideal candidate will coordinate complex transport movements, maintain movement documentation, and work with DoD entities to ensure readiness and proper maintenance updates. Secret clearance preferred, onsite role at Langley AFB, VA.

Qualifications

  • SME with at least 3 years in the last 6 years in vehicle/transport management at a MAJCOM HQ or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent; able to present briefs to senior officials.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to brief diverse audiences.
  • Associate degree or five years of transportation management experience.
  • Four years' DoD transportation management systems and processes experience.

Responsibilities

Summary: The MRAP Transportation & Movement Support supports ACC/A4RM in executing tactical and strategic logistics, maintenance planning, configuration management, technical analysis, policy, procedural development, Concepts of Operation (CONOPS), and program management support for the MRAP weapon system.

Responsibilities & Objectives of this Role:
  • Coordinate transportation arrangements with the losing/gaining field level units.
  • Generate movement memorandums for government review and release. Provide official memorandum and historical documentation on the movement of MRAP Platforms and associated MSE to and from depot and integration facilities and from integration facilities to final beddown location as directed by the MRAP SSM Program Manager.
  • Track movement status and inform gaining unit of departure, estimated arrival, and reception instructions.
  • Obtain access to transportation tracking systems (United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Global Transportation Network, and electronic Transportation Acquisition, etc.) that provide in transit visibility of directed shipments to final destination.
  • Work closely with units to ensure platform inspections are conducted and accurate prior to each MRAP movement.
  • Submit requests to the MRAP SSM for the use of their Transportation Account Code (TAC) for movements of MRAPs, MSE, Controlled Cryptographic Item (CCI), and vehicle parts supporting depot and integration activities.
  • Collaborate with United States (US) Army and US Marines Corp for the movement of MRAPs between depot and integration facilities.
  • Review LTI workbooks submitted by field units for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting movement funds and finalizing the required movement actions.
  • Assist in the development of a Support Agreement between US Army TACOM and ACC/A4R MRAP WST to ensure all AF MRAP Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station (CROWS) assigned to CONUS and OCONUS locations are properly serviced with the latest software updates and maintained in a fully mission capable (FMC) status.
  • Develop fleet- wide movement status reports and distribute to MAJCOM and HAF leadership as required.
  • Assist with command level logistics management and analysis planning for the Air Force MRAP program. Integrate warfighter needs by standardizing, developing, and implementing logistics elements to ensure supportability of acquisition and sustainment- based programs.
  • Support Air Force Policy Directive ( AFPD) 1 0 - 9 requirements for beddown, training, maintenance, policy development, and weapon system advocacy.
  • Provide technical review, operational impact analysis, risk assessment, and configuration control.
  • Review office projects daily and ensure taskers are being answered prior to the suspense. Ensure proper notifications/updates on taskers are distributed, received, and completed.
  • Collaborate with ACC Lead Command functionals, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center ( AFLCMC), Major Command ( MAJCOM) support agencies and base- level leaders/users for effective management, accountability, and sustainment of the MRAP weapon system.
  • Analyze MRAP program metrics and facilitate interchange of information on requirements, capabilities, deficiencies, and technology applications to maximize weapon system support.
  • Monitor monthly MRAP fleet mission capable (MC) status utilizing the current AF approved data collection system. Collaborate with field level users to correct platform and MSE capability shortfalls and fleet readiness issues.
  • Coordinate with AFLCMC/WNZ- MRAP on life cycle management and sustainment issues (i.e., platform accountability, parts and equipment stock listing, temporary and permanent capability/safety modifications, depot maintenance, tech data, MSE integration and maintenance data systems).
  • Assist in reviewing, updating, and developing policies and procedures for management of the MRAP weapon system and its components.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
  • Have a minimum of three (3) years' experience in the last six (6) years as a subject matter expert (SME) at a MAJCOM Headquarters (or equivalent) within Vehicle Management, Material Management, or an Aircraft Weapon System Team (WST) is preferred.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. This experience and/or technical education can be satisfied via college transcript, training certificate, or on the job experience.
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills. Possess the ability to effectively present briefings to a full range of audiences to include senior military and civilian officials.
  • Have associate degree or five (5) years of transportation management experience.
  • Four (4) years' experience within the last eight (8) years with DoD transportation management systems and processes.
