Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team in Minnesota. This temporary/casual role involves operating MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images and delivering patient-centered care with excellent service.

Flexible shifts, no on-call requirement, and DailyPay availability are part of the arrangement. The ideal candidate will be ARRT certified, a licensed Radiologic Technologist where applicable, CPR certified, with the ability to perform MRI procedures independently and

Qualifications

• High SCHOOL diploma or equivalent and AMA approved radiography program.
• ARRT registered, licensed radiologic technologist where applicable.
• CPR certification and imaging specialty certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images with minimal supervision.
• Screen and prepare patients, explain procedures, and ensure safety.
• Maintain patient records in RIS and uphold clean, safe work area.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and protocol updates as needed.

The pay range for this position is $30.00-$49.06 based on direct and relevant experience.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologistto join our team. As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologist, you will be responsible for the operation of assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. This is a temporary/casual position working various shifts, flexible schedule (no call).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging

1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
2. Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned
3. Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeated scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
4. Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
5. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
6. Maintains an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members
7. Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
8. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements

(5%) MRI Department Support

1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
3. Assists in the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Required:

1. High School diploma, or equivalent
2. Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
3. ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
4. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
5. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
6. Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently
7. Certification in imaging specialty
