Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate MRI scanners and deliver patient-centered imaging services in Minnesota. This casual/PRN position offers shifts Monday–Friday 6:30am–8:00pm with occasional Saturday 7:00am–3:00pm, no on-call, and DailyPay options.

You will screen and prep patients, perform MRI procedures, and ensure safety and accuracy in RIS records while maintaining equipment and protocol standards. Training and ARRT/ARMRIT certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• AMA approved school of radiography
• ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to perform MRI procedures independently
• Certification in imaging specialty
• Bilingual (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Screens patient before exam and verifies identity
• Explain procedures and position patients for MRI
• Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures with minimal supervision
• Adjust MRI scan parameters and follow physician orders
• Maintain RIS patient records and equipment cleanliness
• Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
• Assist with protocol manual updates and software upgrades
• Monitor imaging supplies and train new team members
• Complete other tasks as assigned

The pay range for this position is $30.00-$50.00 based on direct and relevant experience.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologistto join our team. As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologist, you will be responsible for the operation of assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. This is a casual/PRN position working various shifts Monday-Friday between 6:30am-8:00pm; occasional Saturday from 7:00am-3:00pm (no call), flexible schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging

1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
2. Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned
3. Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeated scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
4. Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
5. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
6. Maintains an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members
7. Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
8. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements

(5%) MRI Department Support

1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
3. Assists in the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Required:

1. High School diploma, or equivalent
2. Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
3. ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need
4. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
5. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
6. Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently
7. Certification in imaging specialty
