RAYUS Radiology in Eau Claire, WI is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate MRI scanners and produce diagnostic images, with patient-centered service and adherence to safety and quality standards. This is a casual/PRN role with day shifts and a pay range aligned to experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiography.
• ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
• Licensure as Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must have MRI procedure experience and imaging specialty certification.

• Explain and prepare patients for MRI and position them for scanning.
• Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures with minimal supervision.
• Adjust MRI parameters and follow physicians' orders.
• Maintain accurate records in the Radiology Information System (RIS).
• Keep work areas clean and equipment disinfected; uphold safety standards.
• Support MRI department protocol manuals and software upgrades.
• Assist with training new team members and inventory management.

The pay range for this position is $30.00-$50.29 based on direct and relevant experience.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team. As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologist, you will be responsible for the operation of assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. This is a casual/PRN position working day shifts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
2. Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned
3. Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeated scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
4. Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
5. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
6. Maintains an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members
7. Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
8. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements

(5%) MRI Department Support

1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
3. Assists in the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Required:

1. High School diploma, or equivalent
2. Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
3. ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need
4. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
5. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
6. Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independentlyCertification in imaging specialty
