Job summary

RAYUS Radiology in Minnesota is seeking a Float MRI Technologist to join our team. You will perform high-quality MRI scans across multiple sites, gain experience with a variety of MRI scanners, and partner with diverse care teams to deliver exceptional patient care. This full-time role includes weekend rotation and flexible shifts from 6:30am to 10:30pm.

A $5,000 relocation or sign-on bonus is offered. Candidates must be ARRT or ARMRIT registered, hold AMA-approved radiography training, state

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiography.
• ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must be able to perform MRI procedures independently.
• Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients before exam using two identifiers.
• Explain procedures and position patients for MRI.
• Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures across designated body parts.
• Adjust MRI scan parameters as needed.
• Follow physician orders, comply with safety regulations, and maintain RIS records.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and sanitize equipment.

Job description

The pay range for this position is $30.00-$49.06 based on direct and relevant experience.

There is a $5,000 relocation or sign on bonus for this role!

This position is fulltime working a variety of shifts between the hours of 6:30am-10:30pm, includes weekend rotation. Part-time 30-39 hours per week, (benefit eligible) is also available. Willing to train!

RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Tech to join our float team. As a Float MRI Technologist, you'll perform high-quality MRI scans across multiple sites, gaining experience with a variety of MRI scanners while partnering with diverse care teams. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
• Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned
• Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeated scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
• Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
• Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
• Maintains an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members
• Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
• Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements

• Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
• Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
• Assists in the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Required:

• High School diploma, or equivalent
• Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
• ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently
• Certification in imaging specialty
