Job summary

Ardagh Group is seeking a Machine Repair Journeyman in Missouri to service IS forming machinery on rotating shifts. The role requires mechanical aptitude, blueprint literacy, and the ability to fabricate, weld, and set up equipment.

Job description

Role description: The Machine Repair Journeyman serves as the subject matter expert concerning the repair of Individual Section (IS) machinery. This position is responsible for the upkeep and repair of parts and machinery on shift.

Compensation and Schedule: The starting pay rate for this role is $36.61 per hour. Any future increases are dictated by the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Schedule: Rotating 8-hour shift

Responsibilities:

• Repair and work on IS forming machinery


• Work on warehousing and stacking machinery


• Build and repair parts for all machinery


• Complete job change setups


• Welding


• Basic repair of tubing and pipe


• Basic metal fabrication

Minimum skills / qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent


• Ability to read and understand blueprints


• Ability to operate a lathe and mill


• Ability to obtain Forklift Operator License


• Effective communication skills


• Must be able to stand for 8 hours


• Must be able to lift twenty (20) pounds

Preferred skills / qualifications:

• Journeyman card or equivalent experience


• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
