Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a senior MR Scientist to design advanced MR acquisition, reconstruction, and post-processing methods that speed scans and improve image quality. You will lead collaborations with academic partners and GE HealthCare engineers to translate prototypes toward product-ready solutions.

The role requires an advanced degree in a technical field, 4+ years in MR imaging, and strong programming in Python or C++, with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in engineering, CS, math or physics.
• Minimum 4 years in MR image acquisition, reconstruction, or related development.
• Strong MR physics knowledge including pulse sequences and k-space concepts.
• Proficiency in Python or C++, ML frameworks PyTorch/TensorFlow; containers and version control.

Responsibilities

• Design MR acquisition, reconstruction, and post-processing methods.
• Lead collaborations with academic and clinical partners and align with product strategy.
• Lead research and prototype development in accelerated imaging and AI-enabled reconstruction.
• Translate prototypes into product-ready solutions through internal teams.
• Disseminate research via disclosures, publications, and conference presentations.
