Job summary

CCI Industrial Services LLC in Alaska is seeking a Fueler responsible for loading fuel and delivering to drilling rigs and equipment throughout the day, maintaining safety and compliance with company policies.

Job description

The Fueler position is responsible for loading fuel and completion of multiple deliveries throughout the day, delivering fuel to drilling rigs as well as fueling equipment, light plants heaters, etc.

• Fuel heavy and non-mobile equipment in the field from a fuel truck as required.
• Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Informs supervisor of any incidents involving injury, spills, equipment malfunction and/or damage.
• Must be able to follow instructions, prioritize and organize.
• Courteously work with customers, fellow employees and supervisors.

• Maintain 100% “Safety Standards and Accountability” in all areas or mandatory/regulatory requirements, which include:
  • Maintain compliance with required HSE Training.
  • Taking necessary action when behaviors or conditions around you may be unsafe.
  • Reporting and addressing all potential safety concerns/incidents/issues promptly and willingly participate and assist in any investigation that may relate to a safety incident.
  • Performs work in strict compliance with permitting requirements, Alaska Safety Handbook (ASH) Standards and other compliance-oriented directives. The FS1 Field Fueler has STOP work authority.
  • Participating in safety meetings, working safely, and maintaining a safe work environment as an employee and representative of CCI Industrial Services.
  • Document and record any injury or near miss incident that may occur while you are working.
  • Demonstrate and promote safe work practices by participating in JSA reviews, pre-job walkdowns and safety START card preparations covering work activities and materials required by the company and the client.
  • Promote and participate in Safety Programs.

• Ability to clearly speak, write, read and understand the English language.

Preferred Qualifications:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.

Position may involve exposure to extremely hostile weather conditions at times while working outdoors. This position may involve working with potentially hazardous materials and waste.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. A pre-hire post offer Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to determine an employee’s ability to perform to the job standard. • MOBILITY: Must be able to access all controls and all parts of machinery for service. Must be able to push/pull 50 pounds for 20 feet.
• HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.
• VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man.
• LIFTING: Must be able to routinely lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, 50 pounds from wait level to shoulder height and carry 50 pounds for 20 feet.
• RANGE OF MOTION: An objective range of motion measurement will be conducted and recorded using a five position and rapid exchange grip strength test during the pre-hire/post offer FCE.
