Decatur Memorial Hospital seeks a cardiology physician to join Memorial Health’s central Illinois network. The role provides outpatient clinics at the DMH hospital, inpatient coverage, and a call rotation, with a team that includes general, interventional, and EP specialists.

A strong primary care base supports market growth within a multi-specialty group in Decatur. Guaranteed base compensation of $578,877/year (adjusted to FTE), with additional earning potential through production incentives,

Qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible for Illinois medical license.
• Board certification in Cardiology or eligibility.
• Fellowship trained in cardiology, with potential specialization in interventional or EP.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient cardiology clinic with inpatient coverage.
• Participation in general cardiology call rotation.
• Collaborate with a team of cardiology specialists (general, interventional, EP).
• Support growth of the cardiology service line within the Decatur market.

Job Description Summary:

Guaranteed base rate of $578,877/year (Adjusted to FTE allocation)

Memorial Health is a community-based, not for profit health system that provides a full range of inpatient, outpatient, home health, hospice, primary and specialty care and urgent care physician services throughout central Illinois.

Decatur Memorial Hospital is the newest affiliate hospital within MHS, joining in October 2019.

This is a unique opportunity for a Cardiology physician who is interested in joining an established health system and has an interest in further growing and building this service line in collaboration with a supportive health system administration.

Work schedule designed with physician input for outpatient clinics, procedures, on‑call rotation and hospital coverage.

Position Details:

• Outpatient practice (within DMH hospital) with inpatient coverage.
• Call rotation; including general cardiology call.
• Practice currently includes 2 general cardiologists, 2 interventional cardiologists and 1 EP.
• There is a strong primary care referral base with the opportunity for market share capture.
• Part of a multi-specialty physician group in Decatur
