Job summary

Brose Sitech in South Carolina is seeking a seasoned Logistics Manager to lead and develop the site’s logistics team. You will oversee warehousing, transportation, production planning and material flow to ensure on-time delivery and optimal operations.

The role requires 5+ years of logistics leadership, strong SAP and Excel skills, cross‑site coordination, and willingness to travel internationally. You will drive continuous improvement and Lean initiatives in line with corporate standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management or a comparable qualification.
  • Min. 5 years of professional experience in logistics management or supply chain operations.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of JIT/JIS processes and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • SAP and strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze the data.
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities, along with a high degree of flexibility.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for projects.
  • Ability to work with multiple sites in differing time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Leading, motivating, and developing the logistics team
  • Managing all logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, production planning, and material flow
  • Leading and overseeing all logistics operations and strategic logistics initiatives within the manufacturing plant in alignment with corporate logistics standard
  • Leading production planning and scheduling activities
  • Ensuring alignment of production programs, material availability, and customer requirements
  • Managing logistics budgets, investments, and personnel capacity planning
  • Planning, controlling and optimizing inventory levels
  • Overseeing warehouse operations, transportation, and production planning activities
  • Monitoring and achieving logistics KPIs (OTD, inventory levels, logistics costs)
  • Implementing continuous improvement and Lean Management initiatives
  • Cooperating closely with customers, suppliers, and internal departments
  • Contributing to the setting of goals for the plant within the framework of business planning
  • Developing and pursuing measures to achieve the goals defined in the business plan and, if necessary, initiating corrective measures
  • Coordinating with suppliers in the event of procurement difficulties and special features arising from contractual obligations within the framework of the contracts concluded between procurement and suppliers
  • Approving and monitoring the planning data on budget, investments and personnel capacity of the subordinate organizational units
